Ears and Gyroscopes! Why they are the same!

This is a blog to point out why!…. When our balance is comprised we are so debilitated!

This website below gives you a detailed account if the intricacies of the ear and balance mechanism just like a gyroscope!

In conclusion to this video for Ménières and vestibular related illness it is the fluid around the ear that interferes with balance!

Below is how the gyroscope works, is is very enlightening! It shows just how the ears work correctly when both sides of the double gyroscope are going in the correct direction!

However when compromised by a fault ( Ménières or other vestibular issue) it highlights the incapacity of the brains functionality when it comes to balance. In that it just hasn’t the capacity to function in the correct way; in times of distress, during spins, Ménières attack, vestibular migraine! The list goes on!

So there we are! A visual aid to share for how the ears are compromised!

It’s not in our heads! But it is definitely to do with them!

I wish all my fellow spinalot friends well in their own NORMAL world xx

it’s a trial… Saturday morning 9-10am

It’s a start but it’s only in limited stores… AND at the moment it’s about autism only… this needs to be about all chronic and invisible debilitating illness. Vestibular, sensory, pain… the list goes on!

Let’s campaign for the sunflower 🌻 lanyard!

To highlight people with an invisible disability!

Let’s be INDIVISIBLE! In public so we are not judged, just justifiably supported!

So if your wearing sunglasses in winter or indoors your not judged, if your looking drunk but your not… if you don’t reply to someone talking… your not ignoring them, you could be deaf!

Please TWEET and INSTAGRAM and plaster over Facebook! Do what you can!

Let’s get this symbol recognised world wide so all can be recognised and understood!!

Across; airports, supermarket, shopping centres, local shops, restaurants, cafes! Everyone everywhere!!

#invisibledisabilities

Please support this worthy cause! With your support we can help the public help us! 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Do not judge, see the sunshine trying to break through… beneath the pain and horror that is hidden disability.

Shopping and every day activity… to

Where do I begin… well shopping is almost impossible! I can do a bit on a good day with support, and sunglasses… that gets attention!!! Not pleasant and I don’t do it very often at all!!

Am I on my own in this??

Supermarkets are bright, full of visual stimulation which is impossible for my brain/ balance to process… I feel spinny and sick ears bulging and wining verging on attack. It has been known for me to puke in a trolly! Yep! Yuk!

I can’t remember what it’s like to shop for real in a town centre… but not possible now. At all! Or to be in public much.

If I do try to shop on line it’s laughable… an example I have just shopped unsupervised for Christmas and ordered 3 pairs of the same size trainers for my daughter! I did the same last year double clicking as I can’t see straight and organise myself. Thankfully I have help for my site!

Following appointments… I misread them, forget them or forget to look at the calendar! You just could not write it if you didn’t live it.

I ask you … if you lived on a constant roundabout how successful would you be at concentrating?

There you go! Case and point!

But you can’t see it, it’s hidden, trying to explain this is impossible. Unless you live it. Please leave your comments and experience.

I do believe Tesco plan to have an autism friendly quiet time… dimmed lights etc. this could also help people with vestibular issues!

A lady questioned me at the till when I was struggling, spinny and couldn’t speak… she told me about it.

Also another word about this… the autism hand waving initiative… which may help one group would be devastating for people with vestibular and balance issues… just saying! If it’s not broken… ear plugs… I was a teacher… I made sure I looked after every child in my classroom. But this could destroy many. Their is nothing wrong with hand clapping… I have to wear sunglasses, people with just tinnitus wear ear plugs…

we all have to find a way of coping!
