Ears and Gyroscopes! Why they are the same!

This is a blog to point out why!…. When our balance is comprised we are so debilitated!

This website below gives you a detailed account if the intricacies of the ear and balance mechanism just like a gyroscope!

https://owlcation.com/stem/How-does-the-ear-help-to-balance-the-body

YouTube link for a simple explanation of the ear

In conclusion to this video for Ménières and vestibular related illness it is the fluid around the ear that interferes with balance!

Below is how the gyroscope works, is is very enlightening! It shows just how the ears work correctly when both sides of the double gyroscope are going in the correct direction!

However when compromised by a fault ( Ménières or other vestibular issue) it highlights the incapacity of the brains functionality when it comes to balance. In that it just hasn’t the capacity to function in the correct way; in times of distress, during spins, Ménières attack, vestibular migraine! The list goes on!

So there we are! A visual aid to share for how the ears are compromised!

It’s not in our heads! But it is definitely to do with them!

I wish all my fellow spinalot friends well in their own NORMAL world xx

Self Care September

I need to do it…

who will join me?

www.actionforhappiness.org

At this point I am needing something to get some positivity back … so I saw this and thought I would share it with my fellow friends on planet dizzy!

Where everyone lives on a roundabout trying to speak, read, text, concentrate and function in a normal way whilst feeling like a complete Space Cadet!

Yes feeling pretty useless 😖

So here’s hoping this might pep us up a bit… if we were trying to help other, much like I try to reach you spinners out there! Our intention is always to help others feel better… so why are we always calling ourselves? Just as I just have!!

Well we just do, before Ménières we could do so much. Now we can’t! But that is no reason to hurt yourself! Is it?

Self care starts here! Xx

I wish you all the positivity

In the universe!

May your roundabout go in

Right direction! Xx🙏🥰

Coping Stratergies

Balance Awareness Week!

Well I know all too well how it does! I know I’m not the only one…

I haven’t been able to post in quite a while for which I apologise I have not been able to due to brain fog attacks etc… you know the list goes on!

However I’m still here for you to contact me and share your woes! It’s nice to think of someone and something else!! ☺️

I wish all my fellow spinalot friends love and remember no matter how dark your day… there is most definitely a blue sky above those clouds ☁️ but you may have to fight through the fog to find it! But science and the law of physics assures me it is always there! 🙏🦋😍

See it’s there! So find it when your feeling

Why we are Strong Survivors!

We can COPE xx

This was the same day before I put myself through the car wash (as I put it) before painting on my face and forcing a smile… quite unbelievable what we do really… you never know what people are going through behind the mask!

Coping Stratergies

Good and bad days… some words of support!

Just a short blog of captions and images today, been in a cluster of attacks recently and unable to get posts out there! With that in mind for all who suffer with a chronic illness/ disability a few words from me!

I wish you many good and better days! Xxx

This is not always easy to do, I know this myself. I get that guilty stick out and beat myself with it regularly! Feeling less of a mum, as I can’t do what others can, can’t take my children anywhere… my eldest daughter is a young carer! Worrying about the impact on her. I even called her Mum the other day! Unbelievable…. but yes!

The truth is our conditions are not going to improve so we have to learn to cope! C.O.P.E. not beat ourselves up, that is no use to anyone… I’m writing this, as much to myself as to everyone out there.

Embrace and enjoy the good days when they happen, don’t let them pass you by!

I have said in a previous blog, if your not here, you can’t experience the fantastic ore inspiring experiences the future has in store, so grit your teeth, ride the attack rollercoaster of terror if you are a Ménière’s sufferer, deal with the pain in your mind and body and get through because we are SURVIVORS!

Put up with the ignorance, non believers of hidden illness, the remarks, the questions and try and educate… because they don’t matter we do!

This is how I cope, I do what is absolutely necessary when I can… anything else is a bonus…

you never know where you might get to!

If your lucky to have an amazing supportive mum like me, you can get through just about anything!

I love you mum xxx

Why we need the 🌻 #sunflowerlanyard for #invisibledisability

twitter.com/bre48431150/status/1105510016545628161

oh you don’t look deaf, er … how am I suppose to look!!!

You can’t see my stomach on spin cycle either! Or that I cannot see probably or balance… or speak properly… I may ignore you in the street as I cannot communicate!

That makes me ignorant… but no that makes you ignorant and uneducated about invisible illness and disability!!!

Rant over!

We go through this all the time that’s why the 🌻 lanyard is so important to be rolled out world 🌍 wide!!! It will make people think before they judge !!! HOPEFULLY 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
